Prime with a good latex primer applied with a lint delivered 3/8 inch nap roller sleeve. For small holes there are mini hot dog type rollers suitable for this headache. Put Up With to dry and if it needs another finish coat apply it in the very feathering method and as it dries your hole longing blend and compel not be noticed.
